1. License

Twinsub is distributed through the Mac App Store and use is governed by Apple's standard end user license agreement. The one-time purchase grants you the right to keep using the app on your own Macs, with no subscription.

2. Your content

You are responsible for having the right to use the videos and audio you drop in, such as copyright and permissions. Subtitles are generated on your Mac and we never see your content.

3. Accuracy of subtitles

Speech recognition and machine translation make mistakes, especially with heavy accents, background noise or a lot of specialist terms. Subtitles are for reference; please proofread them before publishing.

4. Free allowance

The free version processes the first 10 minutes of each video and 10 minutes per day of live subtitles. We may change the free allowance; people who have already purchased keep what they bought.

5. Open-source components

Speech recognition is built on whisper.cpp (MIT license) and the OpenAI Whisper model (MIT license).
